Event Details

Philadelphia Sports Training Center will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE for their "The Sports Training Academt" for the 2009 summer season.  The open house will provide parents, coaches, and student-athletes the detailed information on the camp schedule, itinerary, academic enrichment programs, SAT/ACT Workshops, and sports performance training program.

All summer sports camps at PSTC will be weekly, Monday through Friday from 12pm - 4pm.  Each day includes academic enrichment workshops and athletic sports performance training, skill drills, and games.  Campers entering 7th grade through entering 12th grade (ages 14 - 17), in middle school to high school.  (Please note genders by sport and grade levels)

OPEN HOUSE Agenda

9:30am - 10:30am  Power point presentation of camp description
10:30am-11:30am  FREE Team Demonstrations of Sports Training

Meet the Camp Director, staff, tour the 80,000 square foot facility, refreshments will be served, and get details on the levels and categories of the sports camps to be held.

A FREE Team Demonstration will be given starting at 10:30am for all those pre-registrered.  This is only for teams/groups of 10 or more.  The maximum is 50 players.  There are 3 dates available for the open house.  This is first come - first served.  Players will perform a brief dynamic warm-up, speed-agility-quickness training exercises, and a cool down/flexibility.

What makes PSTC Summer Sports Camps different from all the others?  This camp is about academics and athletics.  Campers will have a balance of academics & athletics.  Many skill camps have limited repetitions for campers because of such large groups.  Our maximum attendance is 50 campers per week with a 2:1 ratio of instructors that are all former top level high school athletes, former/current collegiate athletes, and former/current professional athletes.  Every camper gets personalized attention and treatment during every phase of activities guaranteed.

Philadelphia Sports Training Center

Philadelphia Sports Training Center is a academic and athletic sports performance training facility for student-athletes from grades 7 - 12, including college and professional athletes.

Minimum requirements for all student-athletes participating in training MUST have a 2.0 grade point average.  This is the minimum that ALL NCAA schools require to enroll, unfortunatley the PIAA only requires a 1.74 which will not be adequate to enroll in college.  Therefore, as we promote Education & Sports, it is imperative that student-athletes, parents, coaches and athletic directors understand our standards for academic integrity.
